We all need to start somewhere

Above all else - you need to start. Begin with planning, begin with an idea - begin somewhere.

We will all remember the days when we didn't have much of a budget - the basic truth is to grind it out. We have all pushed through a very difficult period in our lives. Building something is exciting - it can provide things or a service that matters - and, make a difference.

It's not easy - why would it be?

It's always worth using your compass - and research the hell out of it.

As a Kings Trust Mentor for younger business owners - I can now monetise my own skill sets - and give you consistent and quality support. Where assets or products need building - we do that, over time.

The single thing I wish I had taken earlier - is just someone to talk. Not take shares, not take ownership, not take responsibility - just TALK.

Which route?

What about this idea?

How can I move through the busy life of business?

You can start here. You can start today.

This week, I have designed a simple place for payments to take shape - my till - my payment list.

How about budget?

You can take some amazing advice - and, plan carefully too. You either build with debt - or without it. Unless you gain VC investment or grant funding - all of which are possible, yet not straightforward.

I am currently searching for partners who can help fund projects - to help others out. To see what better ways.

At the end of the day, this is why working with fully funded or established businesses is key for me. As a rule of thumb around 20% of profits could be set aside for marketing - and, this changes depending on the growth plans or projection.

Starting Your Business Journey: A Guide for UK Entrepreneurs

The Power of Taking That First Step

Every successful business began with a single step. Whether you're launching a startup in London, opening a shop in Manchester, or starting an online venture from Edinburgh, the key is to begin. Your journey starts with planning, brainstorming, and turning your initial idea into action.

From Humble Beginnings to Success

Many entrepreneurs remember their early days of bootstrap budgeting and limited resources. The reality is that building a successful business requires persistence and determination. During challenging economic times, including recent global events, entrepreneurs across the UK have demonstrated remarkable resilience.

Key Steps for Getting Started:

• Develop a solid business plan

• Research your market thoroughly

• Identify your unique value proposition

• Set realistic goals and milestones

• Build a support network

The Value of Business Mentorship

Having guided numerous young business owners through the King's Trust mentorship programme, I've learned that monetising expertise while providing consistent, quality support is crucial. Business growth often requires building assets and products strategically over time.

The Missing Piece: Professional Support

Perhaps the most valuable lesson learned is the importance of having someone to talk to - not for equity, ownership, or responsibility, but for guidance and perspective. Professional mentorship can make the difference between struggling alone and thriving with support.

Remember: Every successful business started somewhere. Your beginning is just as valid as anyone else's.
